Thayer Street Logo
For this project we had to create a logo for Thayer Street in Providence, Rhode Island. Thayer Street has multiple businesses along the street, which makes it a popular tourist attraction. For the logo I used the pen tool to make the letters that spell out "thayer street" and then smoothed the sharp edges out. For the street I used the shape tool to create the rectangle, I used the shape tool to also make the yellow rectangular markings on the street.
Eat. Film. Screen. Poster Project
This poster project was for a school video contest sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. For the fork I used the pen tool to create it and then smoothed out the sharp edges. To create the camera I used the shape tool to make the rectangle, I used the pen tool to create the lens in the front and also used the pen tool to create the cameras legs. To create the light I used the pen tool, and I also used the pen tool for the light that is shinning out of the light, to fill in the light I created a gradient with the colors yellow & white. For the popcorn-box I used the pen tool and had the fill color as red, and for the popcorn I used the shape tool to make is circular and had the fill color as yellow. The black box has all the information necessary for the video contest such as what it is, the dates for it to be submitted and the winning prizes.
Game Board Squares
For this project my class & I had to create a game board. We created a game board based on our school, SBRHS. Each person was given a certain number of squares to make and those squares were class's, studies, restrooms, lockers, teacher rooms, etc. For my squares I did the restrooms, the performing arts center, and the world language lab room 301. Each square I used the shape tool and created the size square they were suppose to be, I used the pen tool to create all of the images in the square and smoothed them out. Each square/class is suppose to have two cards each, they are mostly different except for the performing arts center cards. I created all of the squares/cards in Adobe Illustrator.
Game Board Piece
To play our game board there needs to be pieces to play. We took pictures of ourselves then exported them onto our computer and into the 'G' which allows the people in out class to view that folder. We then photoshopped the background out and kept it transparent, then exported it into Illustrator where we made it 1.8 inches by 2.8 inches. Then printed it out and put 8 pieces card-stock between the two pictures to make it thicker.
We also used the 3D printer for the game board piece holder.
